Role overview

What we're looking for

We are seeking an experienced Rust developer with strong working knowledge and excellent familiarity with blockchain technologies. You would be responsible for building our initial product, as well as hiring, growing, and leading the engineering team. You would also be mostly responsible for technical direction. The person would ideally eventually become the CTO.

Responsibilities

Help quickly design, prototype, and develop layer-2 blockchain infrastructure.
Help hire, grow, and lead a team of developers.
Develop SDKs & APIs for other languages such as TypeScript, Python, Go, etc.

Qualifications

5+ years of software development experience.
2+ years of blockchain development experience
1+ years experience building enterprise software with Rust.
Proven experience leading a team of developers.
Proven experience building and shipping SDKs and APIs with REST, WebSockets, or GraphQL.
Proven experience building blockchain applications. Ideally in at least one of NEAR, Solana, Polkadot, Binance, Zcash, or Elrond.
Experience with distributed storage systems and protocols.
Strong expertise in at least 1 one of Python, TypeScript/JavaScript, or Ruby.
Experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases.
Strong attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills.
Deep understanding of sharding technology (especially in relationship to blockchain).
Proven record of shipping features on time and on budget.
Flexible and focused on solutions.
Organized and self-sufficient.
Ideally has experience working remotely.
