Requirements:

• A bright mind (usually PhD, but some have no degree at all)
• Proficiency in Python and Bash
• Ideally with Linux System Engineering background
• Experience with Puppet is a plus
• Interest or experience with functional programming languages from Scala to Lisp
• Familiarity with BSD systems
• Knowledge of version control systems like Git or Darcs
• Experience with build/deployment technologies such as Maven, CMake, and Rake
• Minimum of 4 years of professional open-source systems experience

Additional Skills:

• Experience with Scala, Ocaml, F#, and Java
• Expertise in Linux, High-Performance Computing, and High-Frequency Trading Systems Infrastructure
• Proficiency in Linux troubleshooting and virtualization technologies like KVM and VirtualBox
• Knowledge of networking protocols like BGP, OSPF, VRRP, and Cisco IOS
• Familiarity with F5, IPsec, and HSRP
