Backend Engineer

We are seeking a talented and passionate Backend Engineer to help build and scale the backend systems that power Tokenz’s products and services. As a founding member of the engineering team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the technology and infrastructure behind our innovative solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

API Development:

Design, build, and maintain scalable APIs and backend services that power Tokenz products, including payment processing, web shops, and merchant tools.

Collaboration:

Work closely with product and UX engineering teams to design seamless integrations for end users.

Code Excellence:

Write high-quality, maintainable code using Scala in a functional programming environment.

Technical Leadership:

Lead and contribute to planning, technical design, and architectural decisions.

Process Improvement:

Identify and implement enhancements to our backend systems, processes, and practices to improve performance, scalability, and reliability.

Qualifications

Experience:

• Proven track record of building robust APIs and backend services.
• Experience with functional programming (Scala preferred) or a strong desire to ramp up quickly.

• Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering simple, scalable solutions.
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
