Backend Engineer

We're looking for an experienced backend engineer to join our team. SKED develops a platform that lets chiropractic offices easily send messages to their patients and allows their patients to book appointments through our app. In this role you'll primarily be building out integrations to other platforms, helping maintain our platform, and writing new services. Our team is fully remote.

Job Responsibilities 

• Write Haskell code to maintain and enhance our backend. The backend integrates with a Postgres database and RabbitMQ
• Work with the product team to design and come up with new feature architecture
• Work with product team to provide estimates for new feature development
• Attend development stand ups (15 min / day) & sprint planning (1 hr every two weeks), Sprint Review (1 hour every two weeks), Demos (1 hour every two weeks)
• Participate in code reviews 
• Work with QA and support team to troubleshoot bugs 

Job Skills & Qualifications 

• At least 3+ years of Haskell experience 
• Working with server to server communication via REST APIs and RabbitMQ 
• Knowledgeable in SQL, RabbitMQ, AWS and Nix
• TDD skills, git skills, comfortable using the command line, Linux skills
