We're searching for a highly skilled Platform Engineer to join our dynamic team. We're looking for someone who can bring their expertise in developing and maintaining systems built for enterprise scale, focusing on delivering innovative solutions that push the boundaries of fintech. You can expect to: 

• Leverage cloud services and architectures (AWS, GCP) to architect and scale applications, mastering the complexities of cloud environments to enhance performance.
• Manage and optimize SQL databases for high-volume transactional data, ensuring efficient data handling and storage solutions.
• Solve complex technical challenges in innovative ways, particularly focused on scaling transaction volumes without sacrificing resiliency
• Contribute to architectural decisions and participate in code reviews to ensure high code quality and maintainability.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to design and implement new features, optimizing apps for maximum performance and usability.
• Implement and integrate APIs, databases, and third-party services to support application functionalities.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code while adhering to coding standards and best practices.

Hard Requirements

• 5+ years working on production web applications
• Deep experience in platform engineering, ideally with a focus on blockchain
• Can be autonomous and solve problems independently
• Keen interest in working on crypto or other financial products
• Excellent SQL skills and deep understanding of JavaScript/Typescript or Go
• Experience deploying REST APIs, principles of CI/CD, familiarity with Docker and SRE
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Have a passion for writing tests

Bonus Skills 

• Strong understanding of Temporal and Postgres

• Have worked with large ETL pipelines and complex workflows

• Have worked with different blockchains or tools in the web3 ecosystem

• You enjoy working in startups and have been part of a team during its growth stage

Other important details

• Location: Toronto preferred, will consider Remote (Canada)
• Compensation: $180K - $220K CAD OTE (plus equity)
