The LMAX architecture comprises an event-driven core mainly written in Java 21, which constitutes 80% of the code-base. Alongside Java, it integrates several other technologies like MySQL, Kafka, Solidity for EVM Smart Contracts, and Rust for Solana Smart Contracts.
For the frontend development, LMAX employs Javascript and Vue.js. The deployment of the system is managed through Kubernetes and AWS. Testing procedures involve the use of tools such as JUnit, Hardhat, Jenkins, Selenium, as well as various in-house tools. Additionally, the system is designed to run on the Linux operating system.
